What Do My Coaching Clients Focus On?

I usually work with coaching clients in one or more of these three interrelated arenas:

Executive Coaching for Success in Business:

These types of challenges vary widely -- anywhere from helping you sharpen your leadership skills and career management instincts within an organization, to helping you jump start your entrepreneurial mind set.

The goal, however, is always narrow and specific -- develop the personal strengths, interpersonal savvy and unexpected strategies that will help you make a substantive impact and lead to real professional success.

Everyone hits the target they aim at -- dead center -- every time. Unfortunately, most of us are either aiming too low; or else we're simply going after the wrong target.

Personal Life Coaching for Inner Life and Self:

Here we focus on your overall sense of self and the satisfaction you get from your profession, family, friends, and daily existence.

For some this means learning to balance hard-earned success in a way that gives you the life that you actually want. For others, generating the spark of genius and courage you need to take your life or attitude in a whole direction.

Sometimes, living the life you want simply comes down to having the heart, spirit and courage to make it happen. This thought is exciting for some and scary for others -- but it's true for everyone.

Personal Performance Coaching:

From my martial arts training I focus attention on preparing my clients, and myself, for the moment of truth. In sports and business, they call it "crunch time" -- the subtle and valuable art of being able to do your best when you really need to be your best.

This capacity is what separates pros from amateurs and winners from losers, more then any other. In many ways this ability lies at the heart of the martial arts, the world of business, and ultimately, the art of living a fulfilling life.

Clearly, within each of these arenas, there is a sea of options. I believe that what stands between real success and us is our ability to master life's three most fundamental challenges: change, crisis and conflict. As you continue reading, think about these challenges in terms of your work and your life.  Learn about the Three Challenges of Change, Conflict and Crisis
